Terms of Service
Last updated 9 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Ad Fontes LLC (“we”, “us”), the maker of Loop. By making an account or using Loop, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Loop.
1. Who can use Loop
You must be at least 13 years old. This is not arbitrary: Loop records health-adjacent information, and services that collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States fall under COPPA, which requires verifiable parental consent that we do not operate.
If you are under 18, you may use Loop only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms with you. If you are a parent or guardian and want your child's account closed and its data erased, email looposapp.help@gmail.com and we will do it.
You must give an accurate age at sign-up. We use it to calculate sleep and calorie targets and to decide which features you are shown, so an inaccurate one produces inaccurate results.
Loop is a consumer product for individual students. It is not designed, marketed, or sold to schools, and no school runs it or sees what you put in it.
2. Loop is not advice
- Calorie, protein and sleep targets are estimates from a standard published formula applied to figures you typed in. They are population averages, not a prescription for your body.
- If you are under 18, still growing, pregnant, managing a health condition, taking medication, or have any history of disordered eating, talk to a doctor before changing how you eat or train. Please do not use targets in this app to restrict your intake.
- Money features track what you record. They do not predict income, and nothing in Loop is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.
- Loop's AI can be confidently wrong. Check anything that matters before acting on it.
If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services. Loop is not monitored and cannot help you.
3. How the AI features work
Some features send what you have logged to Anthropic's Claude models to produce a brief, an insight, or an answer. These outputs are generated by a language model. They are not reviewed by a person, they can be inaccurate, and they will sometimes state something untrue in a confident voice.
Every AI feature in Loop is labeled as such in the interface. What is sent, and to whom, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at looposapp.help@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to it.
- One account per person. Do not share logins.
- We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms, to attack the service, or to harm someone.
5. What you may not do
- Try to read, alter, or delete anyone else's data.
- Probe, scan, or attack the service, or work around its rate limits and usage caps.
- Resell Loop, or use its AI features to build a competing product.
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to upload.
- Use automated means to create accounts or generate load.
Reporting a security problem in good faith is welcome and is not a breach of these terms. Email looposapp.help@gmail.com before disclosing it anywhere else.
6. Your data stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into Loop. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you: to store your data, show it back to you, and send the parts you have chosen to the AI features you have chosen to use.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it to advertise to you, and we do not use it to train AI models. You can export everything from Settings at any time, and deleting your account from Settings deletes your data with it.
7. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Free stays free. It is not a trial, there is no countdown, and it does not require a card.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from the billing portal in Settings. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Canceling does not delete your data or your account.
- How to ask for a refund. Settings has an Ask for a refund button under Manage billing, or email looposapp.help@gmail.com — either reaches the same place. Tell us what happened; a line is enough.
- A person reads every request. Refunds are not automatic and no button takes the money back on the spot. We aim to reply within three days. If you have not heard back after that, email looposapp.help@gmail.com and it has gone astray rather than been ignored.
- A charge you did not authorize is always refunded. No time limit, no questions. If a parent or card-holder tells us a charge was not approved, we refund it. Most people using Loop are under 18 and paying with someone else's card, and that person should never have to argue with us about it.
- Monthly plans: ask any time and we refund the month you are in. Forgot to cancel? That is what this is for. The one thing we check for is the pattern described below, not the reason you give.
- Yearly plans: full refund within 30 days. After that we refund the months you have not used — cancel in month four of twelve and eight months come back. You keep what you used; we do not keep what you did not.
- One limit, stated plainly: refunds are per person, not per purchase. If an account is refunded and then resubscribes and asks again, we will refund it once more and then decline further subscriptions. Everything above is meant for people who changed their mind, not as a way to use Loop for free — subscribing, spending a month's AI credits and asking for the money back, repeatedly, is the one thing this does not cover.
- If a payment fails we will retry it. If it keeps failing, the account moves back to Free — nothing is deleted.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Canceling part-way through: you keep access until the end of the period you paid for — we do not cut you off the moment you cancel. On a yearly plan the unused months are refundable as above.
- The plan price is the most an account can ever be charged. There are no add-ons, no credit top-ups, no upgrades that bill immediately, and no way for somebody using Loop to run up a bill on a card. What you agreed to is the maximum, always.
- If we change prices, existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at for as long as their subscription stays active. Any change is announced by email first.
- Prices exclude tax where tax applies; any tax is shown at checkout.
8. Availability and changes
Loop is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, or that it will be free of bugs. Features may change, and features may be removed. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and you may cancel and get a pro-rated refund.
If we ever shut Loop down, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the fullest extent the law allows, Loop is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to Loop is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, they apply to you only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will email you and show a notice in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Loop after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, cancel and export your data — and if you paid for a period you have not used, ask for a refund of the remainder.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of them is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Nothing here takes away consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
